Season of the Witch: Spiritual Considerations

Hello everybody and welcome! I am excited to be telling you guys all kinds of little informations about what to expect within the months! Hopefully I can give you some insight to the whirlwind of energies coming our way, the great changes and shifts as they come!

I am glad that we survived January, aren’t you? I mean I hope you made it through January, it was a super tricky month. And super stagnant...

A brief mention of the previous months,

The message I have been receiving since winter solstice is to let go of being prideful, it’s OK to ask for help. We all need a little bit of help, that’s what friends are for. And it lets them know that we need them. I just felt like that needed to be shared, we don’t like to show that side of us, it is not a sign of weakness. Life gets tough.

Let’s talk about February,

Happy Imbolc! We are half way to spring, I know we want to have a hard morning stretch and get motivated and do all the stuff we miss in spring and summer. We are almost there, we will get there!

Here is hope. We welcome the growth of the returning light and witness Life's insatiable appetite for rebirth.” So now is a perfect time for clearing out the old and making way for the new. Create a space that’s ready for the new wave coming into your life, be it the pre-spring cleaning or just in your minds eye, “that’s over, I’m ready to begin again.” With that intention in mind or even just having that thought, opens the door for new opportunities.

February is also the month of love and romance. And that works perfectly with new beginnings! Are you seeing someone with new eyes? Do you still look at your same partner with new eyes? You are about to take on another year with your partner or maybe just strong friendships and we can celebrate that for Valentine’s Day (or any other time of the year too). Enjoy any of your relationships, be it romantic or not.

I pulled a card from the Animal Spirit Oracle deck for February and got the Stag Spirit: “take the lead”. I suppose if you are going to be “stag” for Valentine’s Day, maybe it’s time you asked your crush out. Alternatively if you are in a relationship, maybe it’s time for one of you (the one who doesn’t normally make the plans) to steer the next date. Time for a change, you may be surprised.

Our stone for February is Lepidolite.

Omg, it’s not rose quartz!? While rose quartz is beautiful, pink, represents universal love and would be perfect for February, take a look at another little pink stone, lepidolite and it’s healing properties.

“Known as a stone of transition, Lepidolite helps to shift and restructure old energy patterns, bringing light and hope to a situation. Use Lepidolite to reduce stress associated with change. The soothing energy of Lepidolite can be used to help those suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Lepidolite can also be an ally to a parent of a child with ADHD, or hyperactivity. Sleep disorders, such as insomnia, can be greatly reduced by utilizing Lepidolite. Ameliorating ailments involving the nervous system, Lepidolite can help those with Alzheimer's and epilepsy. Lepidolite contains trace amounts of Lithium, which explains why it is so helpful for achieving emotional balance. Due to its Lithium content, Lepidolite carries the benefit of clearing away depression after the emotion has served its purpose in one's personal growth.”

“Lepidolite is a lilac-gray or rose-colored member of the mica group of minerals with formula K(Li, Al, Rb)₂(Al, Si)₄O₁₀(F, OH)₂. It is the most abundant lithium-bearing mineral and is a secondary source of this metal. It is a phyllosilicate mineral and a member of the polylithionite-trilithionite series.”- Wikipedia

Our new moon is on the 4th, and our full moon is on the 19th!

That wraps it up for February, please enjoy your Valentine’s Day, be ready to make way for the newness in your life!
